December 15, 2002 (started at 12:05am December 16, 2002)

I deviated a bit from my scheduled work agenda. Since there was no shooting for today, I just worked on whatever was pressing. I decided to place some items on the studio store. I don't do Holidays, so I forgot about the time. So I just finished an item for Blood Kiss with the posters from the premieres for one side and the remastering as Blood Kiss Soul of a Woman on the other side. Have some good news on the movie, but I have to finalize it.

And my chess buddy DM asked about "DareU." I am working on incorporating one of my talent into it as an assassin for Juston Ivory. I know, none of that makes sense unless you know something about the story. Well, I also have some new clips I might put on the site. I am late with the video dub for Lisa. I will just send her the stuff she was in. Need to buy some tapes. I am also way way late with dubs for two other actresses (Heather and Nicole from the SHIP). I really have to get that new hard drive to store more footage.

Have to spend a day this week just catching up on old stuff. Especially before the end of the year, I have to make sure decisions about what to loose for 2003 and what to focus on for 2003.

And back to business. The year will be over soon and I have to reevaluate everything that has went on and decide what to focus on for 2003. So far, I have managed to do a lot jumping back and forth through projects. True, it means some things get out later than they should, but p2c is not relying on any one project to make its name.

IC has been a time consuming venture and yet I only regret that I didn't get more help with it. I think it has done fine. Got about 140 people on the email list and going to implement a few programs starting this Spring. OK, here goes the diplomacy. Another group sprang up and I thought I would try to combine IC with them, but I didn't hear from them so I am just moving ahead with IC and its agenda. I wish them well, but directly being affliated with them wouldn't work for right now. They are still in the establishment phase and I have moved past that with IC. it is always best to move forward instead of backwards. If they need help, I will help them, but for now I'll keep IC seperate.

Anyway, although IC does take time away from p2c, I think it is a good community thing. I want to build it up so that people can benefit. I was talking to someone else earlier and said, I think one of the best ways to stay in this business is to help others. It helps me by having IC out there helping others. Some people don't like to help others because of their egos, but with a few exceptions, I don't mind helping out anyone.

True all artists have egos, but some of us have more self confidence than egos. Let me explain. If you are primarily ego driven, you won't work hard at your craft cause you already believe you are great and you will cut other people's throats because deep down inside you are insecure and believe that someone else's success will lessen the chances for you. If you are more driven by self confidence, you will still have a bit of arrogancy, but you don't mind helping because it makes you look good and you know you will still be successful regardless of what others do. Also you will work harder becasue you know you need to constantly prove you as good as you think you are. I believe I am more self-confident than ego driven.

With that said, right now, I have to go back to work.
